Overview
The Tokyo Media Center (TMC) was set up by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to serve as a media coverage base for domestic and international media during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. The TMC was totally separate from the Main Press Centre (MPC) and International Broadcast Centre (IBC), which were operated by the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee. It provided media personnel from around the world information related to the host city Tokyo as well as the Tokyo 2020 Games.
Taking care to have thorough COVID-19 measures in place, the TMC Yurakucho facility was set up in the Yurakucho area of central Tokyo (at the Tokyo Sports Square).
